Energy Systems Design
Analysis of wind/solar electric power system with energy storage, to serve the entire EcoVillage project as proposed in the Development Guidelines.
Evaluate availability of solar and wind energy at the site using Climatological data.
Evaluate the total electrical energy required by EcoVillage
Select an appropriate mix of photovoltaic, wind or other "alternative" sources which will be compatible with the climatically available energy sources and meet the energy needs of the community.
Evaluate various storage techniques including water hydrolysis/hydrogen storage/fuel cells, compressed air, fly wheel, sale to grid, etc.
Evaluate governmental regulations, environmental and esthetic considerations affecting the proposed generation/storage system.
Evaluate the economics of the system.
Create a proposed schedule for implementing the system.
